The Shandong Xinhuiyuan International Trade Company Ltd has extended a gesture of friendship to the Pango community.
The trade company from Shandong Province, China made a simple sign of generosity when it donated gifts to the children, widows and people in Pango on Friday.
It was arranged by Mr Lionel Kaluat.
The gifts included stationary for the school children and rice to be distributed to the families of widows and people living with a disability.
A representative of the company, Mr Wang explained that as investors they are happy to give back to the community.
“This has stemmed from our relationship with Mr Kaluat and we are very happy to be here today even though at very short notice,” he said.
“The little that we have given is from our hearts and to appreciate the relationship between you, Mr Kaluat and the Shandong Xinhuiyuan International Trade Company.”
An elder, Senior Elder James Wamle of Presbyterian Church from the Pango community acknowledged the Chinese group for their support.
“We want to thank you on behalf of the community, especially the children, widows and people living with a disability,” he said.
